A portfolio site for Bankura nature and wildlife photographer Malay Karmakar — a dark, image-first design, photo stories from trips and festivals, a filterable portfolio, and a captioned gallery that brings years of work into one place.

Malay Karmakar has been shooting since December 2001, starting on film and now on a Nikon DSLR — birds, forests, festivals, rivers, and everyday life around Bankura. Photography is his passion, not his profession, so the site isn't selling anything. It has to do the work justice: big images, the story behind each trip, and an easy way to wander from one set of photographs to the next.
We built the site on WordPress with the Blacksilver photography theme and Elementor, keeping the design dark and minimal so the colour in each frame stands out. The home page opens with a full-screen slider of photo stories, from Darjeeling and Gangtok to Red Crab Beach. Portfolios are grouped into Birds, Festival, Nature, Photos, and Travels and filter in one click, the gallery collects single frames with short captions, and an Instagram feed keeps the site fresh without extra work. Posts going back to 2018 sit alongside the newest work, so the whole archive lives in one place.

A slider of trips and places, each opening into the full story.
Birds, Festival, Nature, Photos, and Travels, one click apart.
Single frames with short notes on the place, bird, or plant.
New Instagram posts appear on the site automatically.
“The site finally shows my photographs the way I see them — big, dark, and without clutter.”
Tell us about your project. We'll come back with a clear plan and a senior team that sticks around.
